Aditya Ramakrishnan
Aditya Ramakrishnan, a student of International Relations at Shiv Nadar University, discovered his passion for nature at a young age as he explored his maternal grandparents’ garden in Kerala, trying to identify the various creatures around him. He has a specific interest in birds and a newfound love for butterflies and moths. Apart from nature, he loves politics and is a huge foodie.
Anooja A
Currently pursuing her Master's in Conservation Practice at ATREE Bangalore with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Stella Maris College, Chennai, Anooja is an enthusiastic nature lover who believes in eco-capitalism. Though originally from Kerala, she has lived quite a nomadic life by living in 9 cities across 4 states! Anooja has a passion for dance and can be found birding or binge-watching TV shows when she isn’t on the dance floor.
Aswathi Asokan
A postgraduate student pursuing her Masters in Wildlife Conservation Action, Aswathi is up for a walk in the wilderness at any given point in time. As the Editor-in-Chief for YNN Chennai and a member of Madras Naturalists’ Society, she has been part of various nature-projects and has been closely working with the coast for awhile now. She is passionate about learning and working with local communities and hopes to continue working towards making nature-based learning a norm everywhere, for everyone. She also finds joy in music, and has been learning and performing carnatic vocal and veena for many years.
Ekadh Ranganathan
Ekadh Ranganathan is an undergraduate student studying Biology at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has always been keen to explore the natural world and aims to enter the field of wildlife research in the years to come. Besides nature, Ekadh enjoys creative writing and playing racquet sports, especially table tennis
Mahathi Narayanaswamy
Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Physics at Azim Premji University, Bangalore, Mahathi has spent a significant amount of time with nature, mainly documenting birds, butterflies and more recently, moths. The founder of YNN, she has also participated in several events and workshops including the Cornell Young Birders Event in 2018. She hopes to go on to study and model the behaviour of various forms of wildlife while constantly improving as a wildlife educator.
Nanditha Ram Satagopan
Thrilled by all things wild, Nanditha is currently doing her Master's in Environmental Management at Duke University, specializing in Ecosystem Science and Conservation. An environmentalist by passion, her love for nature was sparked on treks with her father to the pristine Western Ghat Sholas and the mighty Himalayas. She loves to read and write poetry that helps her connect with the world outside, and within. Having been a part of nature-based organizations and projects, she hopes to continue to contribute and work with passionate people in the field of conservation and environmental impact assessments.
Pratham M
Rohith Srinivasan
An undergraduate student of Biological and Life Science at Ahmedabad University, Rohith’s passion for nature was sparked by chance at a very young age during a trip to the Western Ghats. He spends a considerable amount of time outdoors, documenting birds, butterflies and moths and aims to pursue a career in wildlife research in the future. He is an ardent writer, voracious reader and passionate explorer.
Smriti Mahesh
Currently pursuing a BS-MS course in Biological Sciences at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Smriti has been fascinated by the natural world from a young age, her love for wildlife sparked by family vacations spent on safari. An avid reader with a passion for writing and photography, she aspires to explore the fields of wildlife research and journalism in the future.
