You can subscribe to our triannual e-magazine, Nature Trail, and sign up to stay informed about public outreach initiatives and events we conduct that you can be a part of.
What activities does YNN conduct?
YNN conducts Instagram Live sessions with experts, nature education sessions for schools and colleges, quizzes and webinars for specific occasions. We also bring out a tri-annual e-magazine, Nature Trail, which features articles by YNN members.
Depending on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, we hope to conduct nature walks and physical discussions and seminars.

Is there any registration fee to join YNN?
No, we do not collect a registration fee.
However, in case YNN conducts any nature walks or similar events, the costs of transportation, food and accommodation will have to be borne by the participant.

How will I benefit from joining YNN?
At YNN, you will have the opportunity to connect with others within your age group who are also interested in nature. You will be added to a WhatsApp group where you can send observations made by you and ask any wildlife-related doubts you have. Many in YNN have a great deal of expertise in various wildlife-related fields, giving members the chance to learn a lot from each other. You could also be a part of the editorial or outreach teams and showcase your talent or write articles for our e-magazine.
Are people who are not from Chennai allowed to join YNN?
For the time being, we are only taking members from within Tamil Nadu.

Can I write articles for Nature Trail even if i am not a member of YNN?
Yes, the editorial team of Nature Trail accepts work pertinent to the theme of the current edition from all Indian individuals under the age of 26. A call for submissions will be sent out prior to each edition.
I have little experience with wildlife and nature but I'm interested in learning more. Can I join YNN?
Yes, beginners, amateurs and experts are all welcome! We will review your application form and reach out to you to help you make the best possible use of your membership at YNN.
